Grammar Explanation: I heard that ～

「そうです」は情じょう報ほう源げんが明めい確かくな伝でん聞ぶんを表あらわし、「らしいです」は情じょう報ほう源げんが不ふ明めい確かくな伝でん聞ぶんや、状じょう況きょうからの推すい定ていを表あらわします。

“そうです” is used for reported information with a clear source, whereas “らしいです” is used when the source is unclear or when making inferences based on circumstances.

「ようです」は、見みたり聞きいたりしたことや直ちょく接せつ体たい験けんしたことに基もとづく推すい測そくや判はん断だんを表あらわし、「らしいです」は、他た人ひとから聞きいた話はなしやニュース、噂うわさなどの間かん接せつ的てきな情じょう報ほうに基もとづく推すい測そくを表あらします。

“ようです” is used for inferences or judgments based on what the speaker has seen, heard, or directly experienced, while “らしいです” is used for inferences based on indirect information such as second-hand reports, news, or rumors.
