Grammar Explanation: It indicates the maximum amount of money, time, quantity, or number of people required to perform an action or achieve a certain result.

Ex.: せんえんでランチがべられますか。

Rm.: Sen’en de ranchi ga taberaremasu ka.

En.: Can I have lunch for 1,000 yen?

Ex.: ひゃくえんでジュースがえますか。
Rm.: Hyaku-en de juusu ga kaemasu ka.
En.: Can I buy a drink for 100 yen?

Ex.: せんえんぎゅうステーキがべられますか。
Rm.: Ni-sen-en de wagyu suteeki ga taberaremasu ka.
En.: Can I have Wagyu steak for 2,000 yen?

Ex.: さんぜんえんでホテルにまれます。
Rm.: San-zen-en de hoteru ni tomaremasu.
En.: You can stay at a hotel for 3,000 yen.

Ex.: くるまならえきまで30ぷんけます。
Rm.: Kuruma nara eki made sanjuppun de ikemasu.
En.: If I go by car, I can get to the station in 30 minutes.

Ex.: 15ふん宿しゅくだいわらせるつもりです。
Rm.: Juugo-fun de shukudai o owaraseru tsumori desu.
En.: I plan to finish my homework in 15 minutes.

Ex.: 1かんでこのごとえなければなりません。
Rm.: Ichi-jikan de kono shigoto o oenakereba narimasen.
En.: I have to finish this work in one hour.

Ex.: このりょうは10ぷんつくれます。
Rm.: Kono ryouri wa juppun de tsukuremasu.
En.: This dish can be made in 10 minutes.

Ex.: このペンキは5リットルでぜんたいれます。
Rm.: Kono penki wa go-rittoru de heya zentai o nuremasu.
En.: Five liters of this paint will cover the entire room.

Ex.: このりょうはおこめ2ごう4にんぶんつくれます。
Rm.: Kono ryouri wa okome ni-gou de yon-ninbun tsukuremasu.
En.: Two cups of rice are enough to make four servings of this dish.

Ex.: このティーバッグは1いっ2はいぶんのおちゃつくれます。
Rm.: Kono tii baggu wa ikko de ni-hai bun no ocha ga tsukuremasu.
En.: One tea bag is enough to make two cups of tea.

Ex.: このせんざい1いっぽんで50かい使つかえます。
Rm.: Kono senzai wa ippon de gojukkai tsukaemasu.
En.: One bottle of this detergent can be used 50 times.

Ex.: このセミナーは50めいおうります。
Rm.: Kono seminaa wa gojuu-mei de oubo o shimekirimasu.
En.: Registration for this seminar will close once we reach 50 participants.

Ex.: このツアーは20めいうけつけしゅうりょういたします。
Rm.: Kono tsuaa wa nijuu-mei de uketsuke o shuuryou itashimasu.
En.: Registration for this tour will close once we reach 20 participants.

Ex.: このえいかんは30めいまんせきになります。
Rm.: Kono eigakan wa sanjuu-mei de manseki ni narimasu.
En.: This movie theater will be full once 30 people have entered.

Ex.: ふくぶくろやくせんちゃく100めいさましゅうりょういたします。
Rm.: Fukubukuro no yoyaku wa senchaku hyaku-mei sama de shuuryou itashimasu.
En.: Reservations for the lucky bags will close once the first 100 people have signed up.
