Grammar Explanation: Someone said that ～

相あい手てが話はなした内ない容ようを、助じょ詞し「と」の前まえに述のべます。

Place the content of what the other person said before the particle “と”.

間かん接せつ引いん用よう（Reported speech）

Ex.: 先せん生せいが明あし日た英えい語ごのテストがあると言いいました。

Rm.: Sensei ga ashita eigo no tesuto ga aru to iimashita.

En.: The teacher said that there would be an English test tomorrow.

直ちょく接せつ引いん用よう（Direct speech）

Ex.: 先せん生せいが「明あし日た英えい語ごのテストがあります」と言いいました。

Rm.: Sensei ga “ashita eigo no tesuto ga arimasu” to iimashita.

En.: The teacher said, “There will be an English test tomorrow.”

Grammar Explanation: I heard (from someone) that ～ (Used to pass on information to others)

伝でん達たつしたい内ない容ようを助じょ詞し「と」の前まえに述のべます。

Place the content of the message before the particle “と”.
