Receptionist: What brings you in today?
風邪を引いたみたいなんです。
Ai (Homemaker): I think I caught a cold.
当院は初めてですか？
Receptionist: Is this your first time at our clinic?
はい。
Ai (Homemaker): Yes, it is.
では、保険証（マイナンバーカード）をお願いします。
Receptionist: Okay, may I see your health insurance card, please?
はい。
Ai (Homemaker): Sure.
保険証（マイナンバーカード）を渡します(handing over insurance card [Japan’s national ID card])
では、こちらの問診票に記入して、体温を測ってください。
Receptionist: Please fill out this form and take your temperature with this thermometer.
体温計と問診票をもらいます（Receives the form and thermometer）

Ai (Homemaker): Okay.

Ai (Homemaker): Excuse me, I’ve filled it out.
お熱が38.5℃ありますね。
吐き気はないですか？
Receptionist: You have a fever of 38.5 degrees Celsius. Are you feeling nauseous?
大丈夫です。
Ai (Homemaker): No, I’m okay.
では、順番にお呼びしますので、あちらにかけてもう暫くお待ちください。
Receptionist: All right. We’ll call you when it’s your turn. Please have a seat over there and wait a moment.

Ai (Homemaker): Okay, thank you.
大和愛さん、診察室のほうへお入りください。
Nurse: Ms. Ai Yamato, the doctor will see you now.

Ai (Homemaker): Yes.
お荷物をそちらの籠に入れて、こちらへおかけください。
Nurse: Please place your belongings in that basket and have a seat over here.

Ai (Homemaker): Okay.
診察室で（In the Examination Room）
今日はどうされましたか。
Doctor: What seems to be the problem today?
昨日の夜から喉がとても痛いんです。
Ai (Homemaker): My throat’s been really sore since last night.
ではちょっと診てみましょう。
口を開けてください。
Doctor: Let me take a look. Please open your mouth.
口を開けます（Ai opens her mouth）
咽喉の奥が真っ赤ですね。
風邪だと思います。
お薬のアレルギーはないですか？
Doctor: Your throat is quite red. It looks like a cold. Are you allergic to any medications?
はい、ありません。
Ai (Homemaker): No, I’m not.
では、お薬を3日分出しておきます。
水分をたくさんとって、ゆっくり休んでください。
Doctor: All right. I’ll prescribe you three days’ worth of medicine.Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest.

診察券を先にお返しいたします。
Receptionist: Here’s your patient ID card back.

2,500円ちょうどいただきます。
こちらがレシートと処方箋になります。
お薬が出ていますので、この処方箋を下の薬局に出してお薬をもらってください。
Receptionist: Thank you. That’s exactly 2,500 yen. Here’s your receipt and prescription.Please take the prescription to the pharmacy downstairs to get your medicine.

Ai (Homemaker): Excuse me, I’d like to fill this prescription.

Pharmacist: Do you have a medication record book with you?

Ai (Homemaker): Yes, I do.
では、お薬手帳をお預かりします。
おかけになってお待ちください。
Pharmacist: Okay, I’ll hold onto it for now. Please have a seat while we prepare your medicine.

Ai (Homemaker): Sure.

Pharmacist: Ms. Ai Yamato!

抗生物質3日分と解熱剤です。
抗生物質は毎食後に１つ、解熱剤は熱が高いときにお飲みください。
Pharmacist: Thanks for waiting. Here are three days of antibiotics and some fever medicine.Take one antibiotic after each meal, and use the fever medicine if your temperature goes up.
