Sentence Pattern: Verb (Polite Form) + masenka

Grammar Explanation: Would you like to ~? / Shall we ~? (Making Invitations)

Ex.: 明日あしたいっしょにえいきませんか。

Rm.: Ashita isshoni eiga o mi ni ikimasen ka.

En.: Would you like to see a movie tomorrow?

Ex.: いいですね。

Rm.: Ii desu ne.

En.: Sure, sounds good!

Ex.: こんばんいっしょにみにきませんか。

Rm.: Konban isshoni nomi ni ikimasen ka.

En.: Would you like to go for a drink tonight?

Ex.: すみません、こんばんはちょっと・・・。

Rm.: Sumimasen, konban wa chotto・・・。

En.: Sorry, I can’t make it tonight・・・。

Ex.: しゅうまついっしょにデパートへきませんか。

Rm.: Shuumatsu issho ni depaato e ikimasen ka.

En.: Would you like to go to the department store together this weekend?

Ex.: いいですね!ぜひ!

Rm.: Ii desu ne! Zehi!

En.: That sounds great! Definitely!

Ex.: いっしょにしょどうならいませんか。

Rm.: Issho ni shodō o naraimasen ka.

En.: Would you like to learn calligraphy together?

Ex.: おっ!まえからやってみたかったんです!

Rm.: Oh! Mae kara yatte mitakatta n desu!

En.: Oh! I’ve always wanted to try that!

Ex.: ちょっときゅうけいしませんか

Rm.: Chotto kyuukei shimasen ka.

En.: Shall we take a short break?

Ex.: もうすこし、がんばりましょう!

Rm.: Mou sukoshi, ganbarimashou!

En.: Let’s keep going a little longer!

Ex.: いっしょにヨガをしませんか。

Rm.: Issho ni yoga o shimasen ka.

En.: Would you like to do yoga together?

Ex.: やりたいんですが、ぼくからだかたいんですよ。

Rm.: Yaritai n desu ga, boku wa karada ga katai n desu yo.

En.: I’d love to, but I’m not very flexible.
